This morning’s grant distribution ceremony took place at the Arima Community Center and saw 22 recipients receiving grants to complete structural repairs to their homes.
Member of Parliament for Arima/ Minister of Housing and Urban Development the Honourable Penelope Beckles thanked the Commission for always going out into the community to help persons in need of home repairs.
Mayor of Arima Cagney Casimiere who was recently on a site visit in Malabar with the Commission, reminded recipients to take all precautions to ensure that their homes are safe in this Wet/Hurricane season. The Commission’s Chairman and CEO also delivered remarks at the event.
