Tabaquite Secondary School was the venue for today's grant distribution and the Commission was happy to deliver grants at a total estimated value of $255,000 to 15 deserving families in Tabaquite and environs.
MP for Tabaquite - Anita Haynes as well as Chairman of CTTRC - Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation both attended the grant distribution ceremony and delivered the feature address and address respectively.
MP Haynes shared that while working amidst adverse weather conditions and the global pandemic, in one of the largest constituencies (Tabaquite), it was her belief that the people of the Tabaquite constituency have what it takes to contribute to the national development agenda to improve the lives of all citizens.
Home improvement grants provided by the Commission, with support for materials to build, empowers citizens to create better living conditions for themselves as we continue to develop our nation and promote an entrepreneurial spirit. Chairman Awong shared that his region continues to warmly welcome the Commission to partner with the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation to develop the long standing relationship between both entities. Recipients were delighted to receive their grants at today's ceremony and eager to begin their home repairs.
The Commission continues to partner with relevant agencies to bring relief to all citizens.
