Wednesday 8th September 2021 - The Commission hosts grant distribution ceremony and signs Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) with Habitat for Humanity Trinidad and Tobago.
The Commission held a grant distribution ceremony at the Mt. Hope/ Mt. Lambert Community Center and distributed grants to 52 of Trinidad's most deserving citizens at an approximate value of $820,000.00.
Today also marks a significant day in the Commission's history as we celebrate the establishment of our newest partnership with Habitat for Humanity Trinidad and Tobago, aimed at empowering and brining home improvement relief to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Commission's line Minister the Honourable Shamfa Cudjoe expressed her passion for ensuring that citizens are able to improve their quality of life and was filled with the hope that the signing of this M.O.U. would ease the burden of many with Habitat for Humanity providing labour support while the Commission continues to provide materials.
National Director at Habitat for Humanity Trinidad and Tobago, Ms. Jennifer Massiah, shared that the partnership was fitting because of the shared values and aim to alleviate poverty through providing improved housing.
